Description
Ex California "black plate" 912 in beautiful golfblue color with black interior. This is an early 1966 car with 3 dials and colorpainted dashboard. It has matching numbers engine and gearbox. Cosmeticaly and technicaly in perfect restored condition : get in and enjoy !
The car received a windows out repaint in the stunning 1966 color golf blue (paintcode 6603) with all new rubbers in doors, windows, front hood and bumpers, all done by the previous owner in San Diego from whom I bought the car in 2018. The car's body and chassis are rustfree ! Also the interior is new and done to original specs with new white headliner, all new black vinyl and front seats with houndstooth insert.
The original 15 inch steel wheels were also restored and equiped with new Michelin XZX tires in 2017. The original chrome wheelcaps are included with the sale, but I prefer the more sport-purpose look without the caps.
The engine and 5 speed gearbox are matching numbers (Porsche certificate available).
In 2022 we had a complete engine rebuilt done, with new (big bore 86mm/1720cc) pistons and cilinders and new Weber carburators. The Dansk sport exhaust, gives the flat 4 a great sound without being too loud.
Actually the engine has less then 1000 km since rebuilt ! Also a lot of other work has been done over the past years to get the car in perfect condition. Brakes are rebuilt, new rear Bilstein shock absorbers, etc.
