This Healey is one that is very special. Different from the other Healeys that you often see, so take the time to read the story of the MKII BN7 and appreciate the car's value. This is a 1962 Austin Healey 3000 MK2 BN7 two-seater roadster with 3 carburettors. This makes this the purest and most beautiful model that Austin Healey made. In addition, the car was originally equipped with the much better and more pleasant Center-Shift gearbox. In total, only 125 of these were ever built, of which only 68 were LHD.

In May 1961, Austin Healey updated their top model by installing three SU carburettors, a different camshaft and different valve springs. This is how the MK2 variant with sportier driving behavior was created. However, the old side-shift gearbox was retained. This was only adjusted later in 1962, making this Healey the optimal performance model while retaining the refined looks that later disappeared with the MK3. This model was also the favorite car for racing and rally applications in the 1960s.

The car was sold new in the USA and later came to the Netherlands where it was completely restored in 2005. In 2019, it found its way to a Belgian Austin Healey enthusiast who decided to restore the car again in 2022 to bring it to perfection. The car is in its original color, Healey Blue, has an overdrive and chrome wire wheels.

Een Austin Healey blijft een icoon in de oldtimer wereld. Het verfijnde design met zijn krachtige motor maakt het één van de meest gewilde oldtimers op de markt. Deze Healey is er één die erg bijzonder is. Anders dan de andere Healeys die je vaak ziet dus neem de tijd om het verhaal van de MKII BN7 te lezen en de wagen naar waarde te schatten. Dit komt slechts zéér zelden te koop op de markt.

Dit is een 1962 Austin Healey 3000 MK2 BN7 twee-zits roadster met 3 carburatoren. Dit maakt dit het meest pure en mooie model dat Austin Healey maakte. Daar bovenop is de wagen origineel uitgerust met de veel betere en aangenamere Center-Shift versnellingsbak. In totaal zijn er slechts 125 stuks hiervan ooit gebouwd waarbij slechts 68 exemplaren LHD waren.

In mei 1961 deed Austin Healey een update op hun topmodel door er drie SU carburatoren op te plaatsen, andere nokkenas en andere klepveren in te monteren. Zo ontstond de MK2 variant met en sportiever rijgedrag. Echter de oude side-shift gearbox bleef behouden. Dat werd pas later in 1962 aangepast waardoor deze Healey het optimale prestatie model is en toch de verfijnde looks heeft behouden die later bij de MK3 verdwenen. Dit model was dan in de jaren 60 ook de favoriete wagen voor race- en rally toepassingen.

De wagen werd nieuw in de USA verkocht en kwam later naar Nederland waar hij in 2005 volledig gerestaureerd werd. In 2019 vond hij zo zijn weg naar een Belgische Austin Healey liefhebber die in 2022 besloot de wagen opnieuw te restaureren om deze tot perfectie te brengen. De auto is uitgevoerd in zijn originele kleur nl. Healey Blue, beschikt over een overdrive en chrome spaakwielen.
