230 CE (W123 Coupe)

Selling my Mercedes 230 CE W123, from 1980. It belongs to my private classic cars collection. The reason for selling is an oversized collection.

I have been the owner since 2010.

The first owner changed the color from the original green to the current Burgundy.

The car has been extremely pampered, well-conserved & much improved through the 13 years of my ownership.

The engine and transmission work perfectly.

Accident-free. Rust free.

Summary of work done, things added/modified/improved in the car throughout its life:

• Totally rust-free. All minor/superficial traces of rust in the car were thoroughly repaired, including the doors and bottom of the car.

• The engine was totally overhauled in 2016. Since then, the car has run only 6.000 kms. Perfect working condition.

• Suspension: considerably improved compared to stock, with special reinforced sporty springs specific for W123 and high-end rear Koni shock absorbers.

• The vacuum system was revised and fixed all minor leaks.

• Automatic Transmission: Regular maintenance…Shifts smoothly.

• The power steering system totally overhauled and a new steering box was installed.

• New rubbers

• BBS front Spoiler

• Melber Sport wheels 15”

• Air Condition system R134, working.

• Tires in excellent condition 195/65/15 with less than 5.000 Kms, from 2019.

• Smaller sport wood steering wheel, for better handling. Original wheel available.

• Nardi wood automatic stick.

• The remote central lock system working perfectly

I am a W123 enthusiast and an old member of Spanish Club W123. In a given moment I had simultaneously in my collection six W123s (Sedans, Coupés & Wagons) & I drove dozens through my life. This one by far has the best handling I ever experienced in any W123, basically due to the very fine suspension.


As a used car, one must expect it is not in a brand new condition or near. It has minor flaws here and there as a result of continuous use through 43 years.


If you are looking for a W123 Coupe in stock original condition, obviously this one is not for you. But if you are looking for a very healthy one, totally refurbished, with a rust free & accident-free chassis and a totally overhauled engine, a very smooth automatic transmission, plus exceptional handling and the essential extras, finely tuned & nice sporty looks, with no major work to do for years, this could be a nice opportunity to acquire one of few available units well cared of.


Located in Murcia, southeast of Spain. From a private Classics collector (Not a company nor a dealer). Ideally, the car can be picked up by the buyer and driven home. It can go flawlessly to Ulan Bator. Otherwise, transport should be arranged by the buyer.
