I am selling a 2005 Sonata 2.4 petrol. I bought the car with 125,000 km and a defective engine from the first owner.
The engine requires 5w20 oil and the first owner used 5w40, the engine was not lubricating well because of thicker oil used, so the second connecting rod bearing together with the connecting rod flew apart destroyed the block.
Another second-hand engine block and crankshaft were purchased and a complete overhaul of the engine with original Hyundai parts (Kolbenschmit cylidner sleeves, new pistons, piston rings, connecting rods, all bearings, oil pump, chain, tensioner, guides, new cams, valve and seat service) was done
Apart from the engine overhaul, ABSOLUTELY EVERY expendable part on the car has been replaced, shock absorbers, stabilizers, cuffs, bearings, brake caliper seals, new discs, brake pads... I have receipts for everything. From engine overhaul until now, I have driven 11,000 km with the car. The car comes with two sets of tires, winter Pirelli and summer Hankook, each driven 5,000 km. I have receipts for all of the above.
Built-in Android multimedia with reverse camera. There is absolutely no rust anywhere. The car is almost like new. In the next couple of years, there are no investments other than regular service, mandatory 5w20 oil and I advise no longer than 7000-8000 km.
In these 11,000 km, it was mostly driven on highway, the car is very comfortable, quiet, there is plenty of room in the seats and in the trunk. Fuel consumption about 9 liters. The hexagons are stickers so it's easy to remove if you want.
