Beschrijving

“Collection by Vermant” is pleased to be Able to offer you this striking Porsche 911 T from 1973. The 911 model was released in 1963 and was an immediate succes. As a successor to the 356 series, the 911 presented not only improvements on a mechanical aspect but also boasted a more contemporary design. The 911 featured a completely new engine with 6 cilinders instead of the 4 cilinders that could be found in its predecessor. However, the iconic boxer lay out remained the same and is still used to this date. After Some small iterations of the 911, a big improvement was made in 1973 when the engine was uprated to 2.4 litres instead of the 2 litres it originaly came out with. This specific 911 was originally delivered in the United States in 1973, making this the desirable 2.4 l engine model. Being a T model, this 911 was equipped from the factory with carburretors. This further enhances the pure driving feel and performance that this car has to offer. This 911 doesn’t only look sporty but was also tweaked for optimal driving performance. The suspension and underside of the car was prepared for classic car rallying with firmer shock absorbers, heavier anti roll bars and also skid plates to protect the underside of the car from damages.

Unfortunately, not much is know about the history of this 911. It was imported into Europe several years ago and came into possession of the last owner in 2019. By this point, the car had undergone a complete restoration and was finished in Viper Green. This is an original Porsche colour and this suits the sporty character of the car very Well. To further enhance the looks of the car, the decision was made during the restoration to upgrade the car to ‘RS’ looks. This can be seen on the front spoiler of the car and also the addition of a ducktail spoiler in the rear. The ducktail is currently not fitted to the car, but Will be provided with the car and can be fitted easily. To further enhance the sporty look, the last owner decided to add orange Racing stripes to the top and sides of the car. It might seem as a strange combination of colours, but this works very Well with the Viper Green colour. Looking at the front of the car we can also find Some classic Cibie Pallas fog lights. These were a very popular accessory in period and give the car a more racy look without being over the top. On the Side of the car we can find the desirable and iconic Fuchs wheels that are a must have on a 911.

Going over to the inside we can find an almost completely original interior. The Front Seats have been replaced by classic Recaro examples to give more support during longer drives or classic car rallies. To further complement the racy charachter of the car, the door cards have been lightened and are now equipped with a Racing style pulling strap to open the door instead of a lever. The steering wheel was upgraded to a leather Momo example to give the driver a better feel and more Control over the car. Going over to the dashboard, we can see a rally trip meter. This allows for the driver and Co pilot to measure the travelled distance and also interval distances, often required during classic car rallies. To aid in the usability of the car, a Becker Mexico radio was installed in the car. This keeps the classic look but provides with modern day functionalities.

This 911 presents a unique opportunity for someone looking for a striking 911 that can be used on a relaxing sunday cruise and a the more exhilarating classic car rally.
